24-hour bag, reserve box to day 4

National, with limits

1–4

days

Read thisA household with only the backpack has one day. The water amounts are small: half a litre in the backpack and 2.5 L in the box. In press interviews INDECI officials have also said 72 hours (2021) and two days (October 2026), which do not replace the published leaflet.

INDECI's scheme has two parts: a backpack for the first 24 hours and a stored reserve box for days 2 to 4.

“Artículos para las primeras 24 horas. [...] Artículos para utilizar del 2do al 4to día de la emergencia.”

Items for the first 24 hours. [...] Items to use from the 2nd to the 4th day of the emergency.
