Bag for the first 72 hours

National, with limits

3

days

Read thisThe 72 hours describes the period the bag is for, not a measured stock. AFAD says only enough drinking water for each family member, and the advice dates from 2019.

Turkey's disaster agency AFAD advises a disaster and emergency bag for the first 72 hours after an earthquake, until rescue teams arrive. It gives no daily amounts and no figure for a home stock.

A Disaster and Emergency Bag, in which you keep your urgent needs and valuable documents for the first 72 hours after an earthquake until rescue teams arrive, can save your life and the lives of those close to you.
