days

Read thisThis is earthquake advice, in a 2018 leaflet and on the authority's A Terra Treme website. The press reports attribute 72 hours to the interior ministry and the GNR.

Portugal's national civil protection authority advises water and food for two or three days in its earthquake advice. Press reports in 2026 mention a 72-hour kit, but we could not read an official Portuguese text giving that figure.

“Tenha em casa uma reserva de água e alimentos enlatados, para dois ou três dias, bem como um extintor”

Keep a reserve of water and canned food at home, for two or three days, as well as a fire extinguisher
