Read thisA grab bag, not a home reserve. The 72-hour wording appears on a September 2024 infographic. The disaster agency's December 2024 infographic gives no hours.

A 2024 government infographic describes a Bug Out Bag with supplies to last 72 hours, promoted to people in flood-prone areas. We found no whole-home figure. In October 2026 the national disaster agency told people to prepare an emergency bag and not to stockpile.

“Bug Out Bag atau BOB adalah beg yang mengandungi barang-barang keperluan untuk bertahan selama 72 jam ketika menghadapi krisis bencana atau keadaan yang tidak dapat dielakkan”

A Bug Out Bag, or BOB, is a bag containing the necessary items to last for 72 hours when facing a disaster or an unavoidable situation.
