Read thisThe 2022 flyer is the only official text we could read directly, because Home Front Command's own site was not reachable from where we checked. A June 2026 press report describes an updated guide with the same figure. We have not read that guide.

Home Front Command tells families to prepare equipment to last 72 hours, in cases such as a prolonged power cut or a shortage of essential products. The flyer we read dates from 2022, and we found no sign that the figure changed in 2025 or 2026.

“הכינו ציוד שישמש אתכם למשך 72 שעות במקרים כמו הפסקת חשמל ממושכת או מחסור במוצרים חיוניים.”

Prepare equipment that will serve you for 72 hours in cases such as a prolonged power cut or a shortage of essential products.
