Read thisThe figure sits with the emergency backpack advice in an older leaflet. The Hellenic Red Cross issued its own 72-hour guide in March 2026, but that is not government advice. Greek press reported in October 2026 that there is no single general government recommendation to all households.

A Greek civil protection leaflet tells people to prepare an emergency backpack and to make sure they are self-sufficient for at least three days. The leaflet dates from 2022, and we found no newer government statement of a figure.
